Earlier this month we took our first trip out of Texas to go skiing in Colorado. We went to Winter Park about 2 hours drive from Denver. A lovely relaxed little place surrounded by stunning mountains.
We were very lucky with the weather. It snowed every night giving us lovely fresh snow each morning. Bliss! It was a wee bit chilly with temperatures dropping to minus 20oC (check out the icicles in the picture below) but that’s what layers of fleece are for….and hot chocolate too!
As beginners we both spent time at ski-school but also enjoyed time skiing together. With excellent instructors we made progress and after 10 days were feeling reasonably confident. All in all a WOW, WOW, WOW week and we are both desperate to ski again soon. Fingers crossed!
